Your Opalescence visit takes about an hour from start to finish. We begin with a quick consultation to confirm whitening is right for you and to record your starting shade, so you can see the difference at the end. We’ll gently isolate your gums and lips to keep everything comfortable, then apply the Opalescence gel to your teeth in three short sessions of about 20 minutes each.

Is Opalescence Right for You?
Most healthy adults are excellent candidates for Opalescence whitening. We do recommend a quick exam first to confirm your teeth and gums are in good shape, since whitening works best on a healthy mouth. Whitening also doesn’t change the color of crowns, veneers, or fillings, so if you have visible dental work, we’ll talk through your options to make sure you’ll love the final result.
If you’re pregnant, nursing, or under 14, we’ll typically suggest waiting. Beyond that, almost everyone is a great candidate.
